Is Solar a Good Investment?
- Free electricity from the sun for decades.
- No more electric rate hikes because solar locks in your costs.
- Average systems save the owner $150,000 or more over time.
- A solar system increases property values.
- An impressive return on investment with low up front, fast returns.
When you do the math, solar is one the best investments you can make in your home or business. And it pays back fast. Typical annual return is 12-20% or more with payback periods usually five to ten years, depending on electrical usage and local rates. (We have dozens of real world examples of the impressive savings. Just ask…) In most states, if your bill is $100 or more per month, it is an absolute no brainer to go solar.
But there’s only way know for sure how much you could benefit from going solar. Call Gardner Energy at (801) 396-0698 for an evaluation.
How Does a Solar System Work?
- The sun shines on the solar panel generating DC electricity.
- An inverter converts the DC electricity into household 240v AC electricity.
- The AC electricity feeds into your electric meter and circuit breaker panel. Your meter literally spins backwards. You use this electricity for your lights and appliances.
Any electricity you don’t use goes to the grid, and you get credited. With your solar system, this process happens automatically every day.
