  • 0.89 cfs flow

A Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) is in the West Porterville Irrigation System. A reverse running “Cornell” pump running as a turbine was placed in parallel with the PRV stations to generate power and energy for the client. The turbine uses 30 psi of pressure to reduce downstream delivery pressures just like the PRV stations. The system is only operational during the irrigation season.
